Method 1: Uninstall Through Avast Antivirus
Avast has an inbuilt function to uninstall itself. It’s always better to let the application uninstall itself because of virus quarantined in its chest. The chest is where Avast stores all the virus in an isolated environment so that it does not spread further. So, to uninstall Avast, open antivirus interface and move to the advanced tab.
Thereafter, go to uninstall option and click on Remove Avast. It will ask for a confirmation as your PC may become unprotected after that. To do so, click on Windows and go to restart menu. Here, hold the shift button on the keyboard and click on restart. The PC will not restart, instead, it will boot into an advanced interface. Here, move to Startup menu and click on Safe Mode.
After a while, the PC will boot into safe mode. Now run the application which you stored in the C drive. Initiate the program it will ask to confirm the action whether to uninstall Avast. Grant the permission and let the process complete. The PC will automatically restart upon uninstallation and boot into the normal mode.
Method 3: Uninstall Using Inbuilt Windows Tool
Windows 10 itself has a native uninstaller which works great. To uninstall Avast Windows 10, click on the Windows menu and open Control Panel. Further, navigate to Program and Features and click on Uninstall Programs. It will enlist all the programs which are installed in your PC.

Applications tend to leave residuary files in C drive even after it is removed. So to delete these files open C drive and locate Program Files. Also, make sure to remove the deleted files from Recycle Bin as well. This action will permanently remove the files from disk sectors.
